Tips before you start designing

If your home sits in a conservation area, flush casement or sliding sash styles usually sit most comfortably alongside period neighbours, while tilt and turn suits modern properties and upper floors that are awkward to clean from outside. Think about which windows need to open for ventilation and escape routes, and remember the frame colour can differ inside and out — white internally with anthracite outside is one of the most popular combinations.
