The Technology behind our Conservatories
The British climate can be as unpredictable as it can be unforgiving. Extremes of temperature, wind speed, precipitation and humidity can test the most resilient of outdoor structures and your Brackenwood conservatory is no exception. That's why our consevatories ae rigourousy tested using patented technologies to make sure it is resilient to the most extreme weather conditions.
The government test agency, the British Board of Agrément (BBA) asserted that conservatory rooves have a life of at least 25 years. However, its only only once you're sittng in your conservatory that can you even begin to imagine what the weather will inflict on your roof.
Over an average 25 years, it would include:
- 15,300mm of rainfall
- 450 days with snowfall
- 57 days of hail the size of peas
- 9125 days with temperatures in the range of -15°C in winter to +35°C in summer
- 300 visits by window cleaners, house painters and aerial riggers.
So you can see why it needs to be tough.
Roof pre-built and tested in the factory.
BBA extreme weather testing to 110 mph.
The patented ridge and eavesbeam gives all year round secure ventilation.
Snowloading - all roofs are designed to cope with real extremes.
Take care to select a tried and tested roof. The roofing system has been loaded with the equivalent of 1.5 bags of cement per m2. 1.5 times greater than required by Building Regulations.
